I have many happy memories of Uncle George. The laughter when he was at our house on Monday evenings and on other occasions when he was helping my DIY Dad with his home improvements. I'm another of the nieces and nephews he taught to drive - what patience he had ! I recall driving to and from an aunt and uncle's house - a round trip of about 180 miles, and also of reversing his car gently to touch a brick wall to prove you could do so without damaging the car - what trust he had ! Then there was my first day at work after leaving school and Uncle George turned up on the doorstep with a chauffeur's hat tucked underneath his arm so that I wouldn't have to go on the bus. Rest in peace Uncle George - you are very sadly missed. love Jan and Brian xx
